From 2008 until 2012, 1st FR also operated on Far Cry 2 (along side GRAW 2). Far Cry had an incredible map maker which was excellent for designing unique simulations and trainings, however there was no AI for these maps. 1stFR used Far Cry 2 for Recruit Training during the Battlefield Bad Co 2 era and early Battlefield 3 era where there was no ability to rent a server.
